Starfest 2023, Childcare Resources signature fundraising event, will be held on Monday, February 13th at Quail Valley River Club. Gathering options include a luncheon at 11:30 am ($200 pp) and a dinner at 6:00 pm ($350 pp). Both events will feature Dana Winters, PhD, Executive Director of the Fred Rodgers Institute at Saint Vincent College. Dr. Winters will share the message “The Power of Simple Interactions: Understanding and Promoting Everyday Human Interactions.” According to Dr. Winters, "It can be difficult to imagine how a single, small, ordinary moment fits within the complex challenges and rising demands of early learning. Such moments are the most essential building blocks of a healthy community. At the foundation of every child’s healthy development is the power of human connection. Together, we will find meaningful ways to understand and appreciate these moments. We will also explore the power we have to build the connections that enable all children in our community to thrive.” All proceeds benefit Childcare Resources, allowing them to continue providing high-quality early education for all children in Indian River County. The luncheon will also include raffle drawings and the presentation of the Second Annual Founder’s Award, and the dinner will include a spectacular silent auction, new this year.
