Through a representative group of members, the Chamber monitors local, state and federal legislation. They study, recommend and communicate Chamber positions on pending legislation affecting the Vero Beach and Indian River County business community to appropriate government officials and propose legislation when needed. An issues position paper is prepared each year and delivered to our elected officials at all levels.
The Chamber hosts public forums to educate voters, and legislative luncheons with the county’s Florida Delegation. We hold the annual “State of the County” address and other meetings with local elected officials throughout the year to discuss items of interest to our business community.
