    About Us

The We Care program, founded in 1991, provides free medical services for uninsured, low-income Indian River County residents 18 years and older. Our dedicated volunteer physicians make these services possible. They include cardiologists, gastroenterologists, urologists, oncologists, radiologists, surgeons, and other health care professionals.

With our unwavering commitment to improving the health of disadvantaged residents of our community, we form community collaborations and provide the essential services needed while advancing the We Care mission.

These vital services offered by physicians who volunteer their time and care are valued at more than $1 million annually. However, other medical needs such as short-term prescription assistance, transportation for medical appointments, cataract lenses, medical supplies, and more are needed for patients who otherwise could not afford them. The We Care Foundation of Indian River, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was formed in 2011 to help fund these needs. The Foundation's mission is to improve continuity of care for patients in need, and the We Care Mission is advanced with our community's donations and support.

The We Care clinic has relocated from Gifford to an office in the TCCH clinic at 787 37th St., Suite E140. It is staffed by a compassionate Care Coordinator whose mission is to improve the continuity of care - Resulting in an enriched quality of life.
