    About Us

There are three species of federally protected sea turtles, Loggerheads, Greens and Leatherbacks, laying thousands of nests along Florida’s beaches every year that need our help to recover. Sea turtles are critical to the health of our oceans and they provide essential nutrients to the beaches we love and enjoy. Sea turtles keep marine ecosystems balanced by playing unique roles within the food chain and every turtle provides a home on their shells for thousands of small plants and animals species.

However, our choices as individuals and as a society are having a detrimental impact on these critically important animals due to light pollution, fisheries interactions, marine debris, and so much more. But, the good news is we as individuals, groups, and businesses are all able to make a difference to protect our environment through decisions we make every day. Coastal Connections, Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit headquartered in Vero Beach, Florida that provides opportunities for everyone to be a part of the sea turtle conservation success story. We want to work with you to find out how you can play a role in their recovery.
