    CONTRACT/ PROCUREMENT COORDINATOR
     
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited educational institution.
    Three (3) years successful experience in a contract administration, paralegal, purchasing or related department.
    Professional Certification as Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP), National Association of Legal Assistants/Certified Paragraph (NALA/CP), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer, (CPPO) or Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M) preferred.
    Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
     
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    Knowledge of contract administration, paralegal practices, purchasing principles, and finance practices, with a focus in the preparation/negotiation of contracts and the monitoring/enforcement of deadlines/expiration dates.  Ability to apply contracting/paralegal/purchasing principles, practices, statutes, and laws. Ability to review contracts terms and conditions and incorporate the required scope of work, quotes, bids, and product specifications into contracts. Ability to work effectively with vendors and School Board personnel. Proficiency in the use of computers and related software in support of job functions. Knowledge of School Board policies and state regulations related to the paralegal and purchasing function. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize, and establish priorities related to assignment. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional and courteous manner.  Ability to work cooperatively with others.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
     
    Service Delivery
    *(1)        Oversees contracting and related processes from draft to completion for all District     
    departments and schools.
    *(2)        Negotiates contracts and contract changes.
    *(3)        Monitors District contracting activity.
    *(4)        Maintains a centralized data base for District contracts and agreements, including applicable
    deadlines and expiration dates.
    *(5)        Conduct cyclic reviews of contracts and intercedes when needed to resolve                                                        
    compliance issues.
    *(6)      Conducts trainings of relevant departments/schools as needed or requested.
    *(7)      Maintain contact with vendors to ensure performance and follow‐up on alleged discrepancies and non‐performance.
    *(8)      Initiate contacts with vendors and prospective vendors, and maintain vendor bid lists
    *(9)      Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.

    *Essential Performance Responsibilities
     
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
    Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
     
    TERRMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
    Professional Technical Pay     Grade C                                  250 day Contract (12 months).
    FLSA Exempt

    Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
