Colbert Page Howell returns for his eleventh season as Conductor of the Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, joined by returning Concertmaster Matt Stott. The first concert of the series features the Mendelssohn and Beethoven’s third symphony as well as a piece by Ives entitled The Unanswered Question. It will take place Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 2:00pm. The performance will be held at the Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at 1707 16th Street in Vero Beach. Admission is free; donations are encouraged. The Vero Beach Chamber Orchestra, directed by Colbert Page Howell, was formed to provide for the cultural enrichment of Indian River County by presenting two free concerts each year. The group is composed of an assortment of local musicians, ranging from high school students to seasoned professionals.
