Incentives

The Ad Valorem Tax Exemption is available to eligible new and expanding businesses throughout Indian River County, including the cities of Fellsmere, Vero Beach and  Sebastian. The exemption is applied to the increased value from improvements made by the company to existing real property and tangible personal property and can remain in effect up to 10 years.  The exemption period is determined by job creation, wage criteria and capital investment.
The Board of County Commissioners or the respective City Councils make the final determination for granting the tax exemption that applies only to county or municipal taxes.
