About Us
For businesses or employees relocating to Indian River County, the Chamber’s Economic Development Office provides hands-on assistance to familiarize them with real estate, services, schools, places of worship, the medical community, local government agencies, community organizations, recreation and cultural opportunities. Our team of professionals will assist in streamlining the entire permitting process for companies relocating or expanding in Indian River County. Working with our resource partners, assistance is also available in hiring and training new employees.
The Chamber’s Economic Development Office works with Enterprise Florida, our state economic development office, and national site location advisors to offer site-specific information as related to their client company’s proposed relocation or expansion plans. Available office and industrial buildings and sites are also listed on the Commercial Real Estate page of the Economic Development website.
Indian River County participates in the state’s Qualified Targeted Industry Tax Refund Program (QTI) available to companies that meet industry, job creation and wage threshold criteria. The County’s Local Jobs Grant Program, a tax abatement program that's available countywide, and the Enterprise Zone program are additional tools available to new or expanding firms that meet local eligibility criteria. The Economic Development team will work closely with prospective firms to be sure all available programs are utilized to the company’s maximum benefit. The Chamber is also a partner in Florida's Research Coast Economic Development Coalition (FRCEDC). FRCEDC members are the primary economic development organizations in the neighboring counties of St. Lucie, Martin, and Okeechobee plus Workforce Solutions, our workforce support agency for the region.
